About the Role
Nine out of ten people who use JobSpri are on a phone, often a mid-range Android on a patchy 4G connection. That shapes everything about how we build the frontend: pages have to be fast, forms have to forgive mistakes, and nothing should need a desktop to make sense.
You'd work across the job seeker site and the recruiter app, both built with Next.js and TypeScript. Some weeks that's a new feature, like the "check my match" flow; other weeks it's shaving a second off the job page on a slow phone. Both matter equally to us.
What You'll Do
- Build features end to end in Next.js, from the API call to the last loading state
- Keep the site fast on real devices, not just on a MacBook on office Wi-Fi
- Make sure what you build works with a screen reader and a keyboard
- Write Playwright tests for the flows people depend on: search, apply, sign-in
- Give honest feedback on designs before they're built
What You'll Need
- 2+ years building React apps in production, with TypeScript
- You know how the browser actually loads a page and what makes it slow
- You've built forms that handle validation, errors and slow networks properly
- A good eye for detail: spacing, empty states, copy that makes sense
- Nice to have: Next.js App Router, accessibility work, or experience with Indian mobile users
